Dot Shepherd's Pie Crust
With Shortening --- or--- Lard

Single pie crust made with shortening

2 cups flour
1 stick butter and ¼ cup shortening
cut together

1 egg in one cup plus enough water
to make ½ cup
½ tsp vinegar

add to flour mixture
cool in refrigerator for at least one hour

roll crust to about 1/4 inch and place in pie pan

(You may want to double 
recipe for pies with top crust)

Lard Pie Crust Recipe
for 6 to 9 crusts

6 cups flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 pound lard
cut together

1 egg
1 tablespoon vinegar
enough water to make 1 cup

add to flour mixture
cool in refrigerator for at least one hour, 
before rolling out to place in pan(s)
